The day
A hands‑on day building a personal meal‑planning app alongside an AI agent in Cursor. Everyone set up, shipped a live URL, shaped the app around their own sketches and data, then added three AI features: a chat assistant that plans the week, a hands‑free voice cooking helper, and generated recipe artwork.
- Before you start Laptop, accounts, and the mindset for working with an agent.
- Set up & ship Cursor settings and modes, run the starter locally, deploy to Cloudflare and share the link.
- Shape the app Plan the data in Notion, sketch screens on paper, voice‑prompt the UI, then theme it with a design system and Storybook.
- Add the AI Prototype each feature first, then add chat, voice and recipe artwork, and redeploy.
- The craft Fresh agents, picking a model, reading the plan, rolling back safely, GitHub, and keeping API costs low.
- The stack Plain‑English notes on React, Tailwind, TypeScript, Vite, TinyBase, Storybook and testing.
